    Build thread in sig... 4-link long travel
    measure out a known length on your neighborhood road, mark the start and finish with chalk, then time it from one line to the other and do the math.

    i just notmally tape my phone onto my rc trucks to get their speed via gps, but that quad looks a little small for that.

    I have thought about taping the phone to the quad and ltting it go, but thats a really expensive wreck if something goes wrong.

    And the measurement is a good idea, i will have to try that soon

    Not sure if this has been posted or not but this kid was attacked by a woman for flying his drone on a beach.

    there may be an isolator on there, but there is no gimbal in those videos.

    Here's the jolley roger, its an awesome acro flying quadcopter, but it works good for acrobatic camera work

    Gone over the Top for a 5-lug..
    i did pick up a Parrot AR 2.0 shortly after my first inquiry about it here - absolutely no regrets for the purchase - except for it not connecting with my SGS4.. which apparently is a known issue.

    So i ponyed up for the Nvidia Shield controller also - which is a neat bit of kit in and of itself. I guess i could have used my Nexus 7 .. but it's not near as intuitive as a controller as is the Shield. Indeed controlling the Parrot that way made it rather crash-happy.

    Anyway, loving the Parrot - it's opened the doorway to a new interest, and new technology. I'm sure it won't be the last drone i own..
