    How much of a learning curve is it when you jump up to the bigger quads with the cameras? Once upon a time I was very much into the r/c cars but that's only a 2 channel setup.

    I got one of those Nano QXs and my DSM2/DSMX module for the Taranis just showed up! So much nicer to use my Taranis

    I feel your pain. I finally have my 250 all wired up and hooked into my FPV gear. It has been raining for the last 3 days straight :(

    Well you're going from 2D to 3D, so you have to get used to that... Flying a quad is pretty easy, just a matter of spatial awareness... I'd recommend getting a practice quad first to see if you like it and then step it up from there... My old Blade mqx (not made anymore... Replaced by Blade 180qx) has taken a beating over the past few years...

    Iirc .. Turnigy 3508- 580s with some CF 14-55 props. I had some 4s 8000 mah batteries I was going to run 2 in parallel but sold them as well.

    :facepalm:Man I knew you could drop different modules into the Taranis but thought it was only for UHF. I just placed an order from hobbyking for some charger parts and would have liked to have thrown one of those in now.

    Parts are in the mail. I found out that 2 of the ESCs aren't outputting power to the flight controller :confused: and I ordered a new Rx just in case it got fried when I plugged stuff in wrong the first time. I found out a coworker of mine used to fly FPV planes and quads so I am having him help me set everything up when the parts arrive. Waiting sucks, the hobby shop near me (Hobbytown) carries next to nothing for quads so it has been ordering all parts online. Multirotormania is based out of Sac (45min drive) but I don't think they have a store front because the shipping address on the package I got from them was from the middle of a trailer park...

    That's the true beauty of the Taranis. It's open and plays well with anything JR. I ordered the Orange module from hobbyking. For $29, it's pretty solid and very easy to bind.
