I run these too with the Rockford dash tweets. Sounds just fine and can get loud if you want it. Inexpensive and works

Agreed. Spent under 100 for 4 speakers and they sound perfect. Sound is subjective to the user. Everyone hears differently.

I have the infinity kappas with an alpine power pack powering them. To me they sound pretty damn good. Also have kicker hideaway sub. Last thing will be a new head unit with wireless carplay and bigger screen.

Ok but don't the 3rd gens (or at least the 2020 non-JBL?) uses some weird speaker size like 6 3/4? I'll go search in the meantime, don't flame! That was just what came up when I entered the vehicle fitment info on Crutchfield's site

    I got the Kicker 46CSC6934
    https://www.crutchfield.com/p_20646CC693/Kicker-46CSC6934.html

I called Crutchfield and these were the ones they suggested in the general price range (under $200). I'm quite happy with the sound.
    • handles up to 150 watts RMS (450 watts peak power)
    • frequency response: 30-20,000 Hz
Better than any of the three OP listed

There's a few things I'd like to add here. If you do a sub (powered or not) and use the front speakers as the signal, like your supposed too, when you crank it up the bass goes down. Some sort of protection built into the OEM HU. The only way I could correct this was a line out converter. I got the AudioControl LC7i. LC 6i would would work too. I'm sure there's others. Until I put this in I had no real bass. Secondly, there are other amps besides the KEy amp. You'll need to run power to it but you'll get more than double the power of the Key. I used an NVXVADM4 (75W x 4 vs. 37.5W x 4 @ 4ohm speakers) And a great mounting place is right about the climate control unit which is easy to remove as I found out when doing my MESO chrome delete stuff. Now where to put the LOC I haven't figured out. It's just kinda dangling up under the dash with a wire tie.

Bass does not roll off on the OEM headunit, its actually boosted. I ran tests on this here are the graphs showing the signal output from a pink noise test signal.

Yes that's what I thought. I spent hours reading about it all. That's why I was surprised and went to the local BB for the LOC. Unless I have it somehow running off the rear channel it's definitely rolling off. I'll double check my connection again

Just watch a YouTube install and get some plastic panel spreaders. Should take only an hour. You will be happy

was this signal output or microphone measurements? I see what you said, but want to confirm.
