You shouldn't have to.. Mine has been through damn near tornado type weather and hasn't leaked one drop of water. Grant it, it's not the exact same light but it's the same housing and concept. Just make sure all the allen head screws around the housing are tight. I'm sure these guys make sure everything is tight anyways before they ship them out.

I wasn't worried about the light, I was talking about putting a cheap strip of amber on the light glass, and to prevent it from peeling and protect from harsh weather, I'll be putting a little bead of clear silicon around the edge just to keep shit from getting under it and peeling

IDK I wish I was here. You guys are light hungry.

Working on the night shots of the 4" spots. We have not sold many so I am digging through customer shots.

I was worried about that too so I just faced the vinyl towards the inside so it doesn't get effected by outside elements like mud and rain. It doesn't matter which way you face the lens.

 I don't want to take my light apart lol. Just putting a strip on the outside so it's easy to get back off

This might be one of the dumbest things I have ever heard about lighting.

You are right when you say it is good to split it up over several lights so you can adjust the spread

But "further down-road lighting that your stock hi beam doesn't serve much purpose" was 100% wrong.

So by what you're saying - if I am doing 100 MPH in the desert (which is reasonable for a built Tacoma, prerunner, grated road, back country road, etc where you would be using off road lights) then all I need to see is how far my hi beams can reach? Wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong

Yea I just left that one alone lol.

I dunno about that guy, but I buy offroad lights to light up waaaayyy past what my headlights don't read and for filler up close. I pretty much want everything in front of me for the several hundred feet to be illuminated as well as on the sides by a good margin as well.

Well, if Trek doesn't respond to me on the GB or my PM I sent early this morning, I'm gonna call him on his shit AND dispute my Paypal tonight. That is just bad business.

Now then, this here company seems alot better.

I've been in constant communication with the owner and everything is pretty legit. A big plus is that he's on the West Coast, so shipping will be easy, and I can hunt him down easily if he takes off with my cash :)

Yeah I'm liking what I see so far on this, plus I just took a look at Rigid's site (first time in a year or so) and I forgot how crazy their prices are! Hopefully I can get in on this.

Dirt roading is not offroading. People on here seem to regularly confuse the two.

Race applications can certainly utilize extra throw, but no one on Tacomaworld is doing that aside from MJP2. A lot of people here like to think they do, though.
