^^^ what he said. They may look like they cross at full droop but at ride height/bump, the axle is moving back and could put them in the right position.

I need to remove those extra leaves and see. I'm gonna snap a pic when I get home. Compression with a slightly shorter pitman might work.

Yeah, thanks for that. Seems obvious now but I didn't even factor that into the equation!

I did the same thing whenever I put mine all together the first time and actually moved the axle back an inch (spring perches where drilled). Put it all together and realized I had a lot of clearance at ride height and undid everything, cycled it again to find it worked. Put it together and thought the same thing again ("crossed" at full droop) but tried it and has worked fine every since.

Yea, they could be in line at ride height, but it may clear fine as the suspension compresses and moves the axle back. Test it before worrying too much about it.

So I just took another look at my set up. I think the drag link and tie rod are closest at center. So if you don’t rub there you should be ok, I’d think.

New, shorter, less drop pitman on the way from Sky. Getting the driveline redone in a couple days too. 37s will be on in no time.

I'm removing a leaf from the pack to drop the front a bit. Ghetto'd the wraps a bit but it should do. Going to finish the other one this weekend and start cutting and cleaning for the shock hoops.

Dropped off my front DL today to get it lengthened and got a call that the drive line spines into the yoke had too much slop to balance. Well that increased the cost some :pout:

    Stock?

I’d go with long spline, the front on these trucks travel a lot!

I think my front DL has 10” of splines.

I’m running high pinion these days though so it doesn’t get exercise as much as it used to.

Not much I know that. I’ve seen people pull them apart when flexing out.

Trail gear sell a pretty affordable long travel spline kit. Mine driveline was put together by Stockton driveline and has held up well.

I used the trail gear long spline shaft (10 in I think of spline) and had a custom 1310 CV made for the transfer case end.. The shop I had make it (adams drive shaft) said I would have been better off with a 12 in based off my measuremtns but they made the 10 in one work. Think its almost necessary with the arch the front axle travels in with leaf springs. And ive never had any problems with it coming apart.

Well shit in a shoe! I guess I just pissed away a little bit more money. I think I'll wait until I burn in my shock hoops, droop it out and see if it separates.

The good thing is with the shackles in the rear, the axle will arch towards the tcase. Unlike a jeep or something with the shackles in the front where the axle will move away from the tcase.
