Haha. Not much doing in the way of mods. It is currently being used as a pack mule to run ripped out carpet to the dump. Not very exciting.

I'm fairly certain the first real mods of the summer will be some new seats and more importantly some RCV axles. Now just need to find that money tree :)

Was thinking some Corbeau Baja Ultras. Relatively cheap but comfy cozy! Vinyl so I can spill drinks and get mud/water on them and not worry about it.

I am on the search for an early solid axle truck right now. My wife was "puzzled" why I wanted to take my '14 "wheelin" the other day. Must think it is too nice or something :D

Ha, nope! I wheel my taco way harder than the pickup. Hopefully that will be the opposite by the end of the summer. Fingers crossed.

My battery was dead a couple weeks ago so I jumped it and took it for a ride. The radio was cutting in and out so I figured it wasn't the battery and probably the alternator. Took the battery in for a test/charge and yep, it was good to go so I picked up a reman alt for $69. Underwent surgery last night but lost momentum at the end so I still need to fill the cooling system back up and fire it up. 3 hours to go.

So this weekend I was driving out to my friend's house for a little shindig and the truck starts rattling like a mofo. I had felt it a couple days before but I was only driving to the store and didn't exceed 35 mph so it didn't feel that bad but on Saturday we were going a bit faster and it felt like it was falling apart. Ends up the driveshaft was missing one bolt setup and the other three were just hanging there barely threaded on. WTF. So I go and get some new grade 8 nuts/bolts and start putting it back together when I see a line of liquid coming out the pinion seal area. Great, all that bouncing around broke the seal, I guess it could have been worse. I ran to the auto parts store and grabbed a new seal for $13. A few hours later and I was back in business. The silver lining here is that the gear oil was like f'n pea soup. Who knows when the last time that shit was changed (it was on my short list) so one more maintenance thing checked off the list. This has now motivated me to replace all of the other fluids since it doesn't seem like the last peep kept up on it.

    Yeah, this is good

    Sprung a leak

    Thread depth prior

Waiting for it to drain and taking a break

Old seal out and everything cleaned up

Post install thread depth. Looked pretty close to me so I went with it

    Seriously nasty looking oil

85 22r 225,xxx miles. I have dual cases and crossmember for it already, plan on tube bumpers, sliders, ome 2" lift with 33x10.50s and maybe a set of 35's for wheelin but not sure yet.

I wanna tear my 85 4 runner apart and 4link the front end and deavers in the rear. So in the mean time the pickup would be the fun toy, and probably the dd so I don't keep racking on miles on the Tacoma.
