Replaced both with new hardware. The black original type pieces are available from Amazon for $11.95 a pair, free shipping. These are exactly like the originals. I have tried the aluminum pieces, which are OK, except the boss on one end is too large, the window will not seal all the way. Maybe someone can figure it out.
The pieces from Amazon also come with the new pins. Easy fix, pull out the panel, unbolt, set in new pieces, done. One hour both sides.

Any issue with getting the metal pin through the new metal hardware? I tried a similar replacement, but the pins fused to the aluminum part way through so now they stick out partly.

Thanks for that video. Did all of the steps there except for re-drilling the pin hole in the replacement part, a now obvious necessary step.
