Question: 2004 4runner A340f please help!!!

Will the a340f transmission in a 2004 4 runner limited 4.0 v6 work in a 2004 tacoma 3.4 4wd with the exception of swapping the bell housing? Please help!

Keep in mind your 04 v6 will have the ETCS-I transmission which was limited to only 03-04 Tacoma’s.

You’d be pulling that trans from a fourth gen runner which is nothing at all similar to our trucks. The third gen 4Runners are the ones that share parts with our trucks. (1996-2002)

 

What would be the difference? If both are electronic kickdown, both are a340f transmissions the only thing I can find is swapping bell housings. Correct?
