I'm planning on finally replacing my stock Bridgestone Dueller's with a set of Michellin ltx ms2 tires. I saw this review on Amazon from some guy saying his tires rubbed on his Tacoma, despite replacing his old tires with new tires the exact same size as his old ones. It's got me a little concerned. I don't want my tires to rub. My question is #1 if the new tires are the same size tires as your stock tires,is it possible that they could be taller and not fit? #2 Does anyone here have Michellin ltx ms2 tires on stock wheels size 265 60 18 without any rubbing issues? Thanx!

Every single tire brand will be different physical dimensions but you can generally find that info on the manufacturers web sites so you can compare. There can be significant differences IE: one brand 35" tire will be a true 35" but some are actually on 34.5".

You can find and compare dimensions on Tire Rack.

OK, I compared the two tires on tire rack & The most notable difference I see is in the tread width original stock tire is 7.1. The new tires is 8.5,everything else is pretty close to the same. Excuse my ignorance on this, but can anyone tell me if that's going to be a noticeable difference?

Clearly a retard, look at the last statement 'hope this doesnt get worse as the tires break in...' Ya cause tires typically grow as they break in as we all know.... Dumbass!

I wouldnt worry about rubbing with theses tires, but you can look for yourself by going to a curb andnplacing your front tire on it at full turn and see uow much room you have to work with. This is not perfect science but will give you an idea at least.

I'm honestly surprised that the tire store is selling you a tire 1.5" wider for a stock rim ? and yes, a tire that much wider could hit your UCA, could rub more spots when the wheel is turned etc. Width causes just as many problems as height.

The above is all good info, look to see how much room you have between current tire and thte control arm!

It's the tread width that's wider,I'm not sure the actual tire is wider.I can't find the exact width dimensions of the tire.

Just thought I'd give an update. I got the Michellin's installed today,no issues,no rubbing. They look great & The ride is smooth as glass! I couldn't be happier! Thanks for everyone's help!
