    Hi all,

I'm deciding between a 2017 Sport and 2018 Sport, both 6 speed manuals/4x4/v6/long bed/access cab. The 2017 has some more lush features (tonneau cover, tech package, premium package, tow package, heated seats). But i'm not a guy who needs fancy features, despite them being nice to have. I sometimes see them as problems i'll have to fix 10 years from now. Out the door is 33,500-34ish. Also eligible for the 1.9 financing from Toyota and Red.

The offer on the 2018 is a bit cheaper and not as much lush (tow package, and it does list backup cameras so it may have elements of the tech package). This dealership offered me 32-32.5 out the door. I know the 2018 has additional safety features, which aren't super important to me, but a plus. Its light blue. And also a newer model.

I've seen on the Toyota site that the 2018's list better MPGs than the 2017, which is a large factor for me. Does this apply at all to MTs? Are 2017 and 2018 MTs the same MPG?

Also, based on the other elements listed - any recommendation on which way I should go? Both colors are intriguing. Does the 2018 offer significant advantages?

    Cheers and thanks!

I have a ‘17 TRD Sport 4x4, 6 speed manual purchased over Memorial Day Weekend. Just turning 5K and getting 22 mpg. Love the truck, no issues.
