Question about Bilstein 6112/5160 lift. Just installed and got more lift than I was supposed to.

    I just installed the Bilstein 6112/5160 with Icon RXT Leaf Pack (stage 3) on my 2016 DCLB. I just finished and was taking my measurements at the wheel wells and I seem to have gotten more than advertised for the settings I used.

    Previously everything was equal due to weight on the back end(RTT, canopy and drawer system in the bed.
    Front end gained 3" instead of 2"
    Rear end gained 4" instead of 2" or 3"

    Anyone else encountered this before? I'm not upset about the extra but I do need to be mindful of the carport at my condo. Currently I should have about 2" clearance from the lowest part of the carport to the RTT but after I put on new tires next week I will be gaining approximately 2". I should have had about 1" clearance when completed. I know I'm really cutting it close.

    I also want to make sure that getting 3" on the front end instead of 2" isn't going to add unplanned stress to the vehicle. I did not upgrade UCA.

    Ive seen the rxt drop an inch after a day of settling sometimes. But level 3 is a lot unless you have a constant load in the back.

    6112 will drop an inch after you drive it around after taking it off the stands.

    Measure center of hub to fender, not from the ground.

    Between the RTT, rack, canopy, drawers and gear in the back there's probably about 350-400lb constant load on the back end which is why I went with level 3. Might just throw a few bags of concrete in there as a temp solution if I have to.

    Good to know about the 6112s settling a bit. I haven't measured since earlier. I took it for a test drive and then drove the 30km home from the shop. I'll check tomorrow. Happy the alignment I did went well enough. No pull or anything weird with the steering.

    I did a tacoma, rtt, rtt rack in the back so about 300lb about 2 weeks ago. It was 24.5 the next day which is about a 2.5" lift. It will likely settle a little more over time.

    I have done 6112's and on the top setting for installs and its about 23" w the 600lb springs. Again likely to settle a little over time.

    Elka 2.5" DSC w/ Deaver Stage 1, Archive Hammer Hangers, SPC UCAs, Timbren bumps, TRD baja wheels, 265/75r16 Wildpeak AT4W, Greenlane Sliders, Warn slimline bumper, N-Fab spare tire box mount.
    The lift numbers are relative to factory lift heights. Your 2016 would have sagged a bit since new, especially with that weight on it. So you likely got close to the advertised lifts, you just probably started at -1" or something.
