Is there a difference between the red and blue and if so is there certain spots on the fender flare I need to put them? Should I put the clips on the flare or frame when installing?

I think I attached the clips to the flare first, and then pressed them into the fender.

Well, crap! It's been a long time since I've done battle with flares that I don't remember. I think it's flares then clip them into the fender.

I've always put the clips on the flares first, then clip the flares to the body. I've had my flares off a bunch of times & I've always done it that way. Don't know if that's the correct way & why I choose to do it that way but it works for me. The pics above are actually my truck.
