question about drain plug bolt?

    Hey I like that quick drain valve!! Is it durable though? No leaks or anything like that?:cool:

    I'm not a fan of those valves just for the reason that it isn't that hard to remove a drain plug - therefore stating the valve makes the oil changes so much easier is kind of misleading.

    In addition to that, the threaded part of the valve on some models is a little deeper than the thickness of the threaded section of the pan. This means there is always a little residual oil and sludge that remains in the bottom of the engines oil pan as the valve doesn't sit flush with the inside of the oil pan.

    I don't know if this is the case for the Tacoma version or not. It looks to me that Fumoto just makes valves according to thread size and sells them for each vehicle of that thread size, without taking into account the depth of the threaded portion of the oil pan?

    Got an underside pic? Don't know why but I can't picture it in my mind. How far down does it portrude and what would the chances be of getting it hung up? Just curious because I know All Pro makes a recessed bolt
