I've searched around looking for an answer and even PMd a couple people but its a holiday weekend and I'm sure people have better things to do than answer PMs. Anyways, I ordered these Fox rear shocks last night from Wheelers: PN: 985-24-117 for 2"-3" of rear lift.

Now I have Wheelers 3 leaf Progressive AAL that I'm going to install with the overload for a little over 2" of lift. My question is do I need to also buy Wheelers bump stops? If so, could someone school me up as to why or provide a link somewhere that does? Thanks guys.

    Yes.
the stock bump stops will work. The Wheelers bump stops are less jarring when you bottom out the axle against the frame.

Ok. I just want to make sure I don't damage the shocks.

Not necessarily, assuming you'll be installing these in the stock location?

For every 1" of added shock travel, you're going to loose appox 1/2" of bump travel. If the shock is able to accommodate 3" of lift, you are going to want to double check your bump clearances.

My suggestion would be to cycle your rear suspension with just the main leaf, since you'll have to separate the pack for the add-a-leaf anyways, and see for yourself if you need taller bump stops. If you do, you can easily order them, and just be sure not to bottom out your suspension until they arrive.

What about extended brake lines for the rear? Are they required?

Not necessarily required. I got 10" Fox shocks and all I did was create a small spacer between the axle and the brake line retention bracket. Worked well for me and I haven't had any issues.

If it's in your budget, you may as well. Like I said though, make sure to droop everything out and make sure nothing is asp ting like a limiting strap.
