I searched the hell out of this topic but came up with nothing. Hoping that some of you could answer this question. I have a 14' enclosed trailer and I would love to install at least a 12" led light bar on the back. I already have a small light with switch and I am assuming it's just a 12 volt connection. Can I just remove the old incandescent light and install the LED light bar? Can I just tap into the existing wires and call it a day or do I need to install some transformer or regulator? Thanks to anyone that can answer this for me! Oh and since we all love pics.....

This that and the other thing.
hmmm I'm thinking amp draw of the light bar will be a concern. anything is possible tho, may have to run a separate wire from the battery as a main power supply to the light bar with an inline fuse to the back of the truck with some sort of plug, and plug it into another separate wire on ur trailer that goes to the light bar, similar to what u do with the trailer plug, u can use the existing wiring/switch on the trailer to close contacts on a relay tho

What is the wattage of the incandescent bulb, and what is the wattage of the light bar?

I am going to assume the original bulb is only 5-7 watts. I haven't purchased a light bar yet so the sky is the limit!
