I am thinking of doing a 3" lift, and was wondering if anyone knows if this will accommodate a 285/70r17 without having to make any modifications or cutting anything?

    Thanks

Good chance it will rub to some degree if you literally want to do zero trimming at all.

It will depend on your tire/wheel set up. If they are aggressive 33's, then they will most likely rub with the body mount. You will need to do a body mount chop for some more clearance. I've seen ppl run a 3" lift with 33's and they didn't need a chop.

33's on 3" lift might rub slightly, but that will be fixed with some trimming. You can put 32s if you don't want to cut anything. I know some people who have this kind of setup.

to give you some kind of comparison I have a 3 inch lift and running Nitto Trail Grapplers (285/75/16) no BMC, factory wheels, 1.25 spacers. I get a slight rub if I'm at a full turn and hitting a curb, but everything is normal other than that. I bet a 17 would rub more, but let's see if anyone else has real experience with that. On a side note, the stores (ACE/Lowes) are having a good sale on angle grinders. I'm thinking about stopping by ACE for a DeWalt Angle grinder for $40 this weekend to do my BMC.
