Where are you guys getting “step 14” from .. I know I’m just a second gen. But when I click then link

    http://mobtownoffroad.com/wp-conten...oma-Rock-Slider-Installation-Instructions.pdf

Nothing comes up . Found a video on you tube, but the first step is a square washer welded to a bolt .. I didn’t receive that ...

Do I just use a square washer supplied that doesn’t have a welded bolt ?

Would be good to find some instructions if anyone knows where they are ..

    @Mobtown Offroad

    Thanks ...

Picked up my rock sliders yesterday and hit a snag early on in the process. For the rectangular washer with the welded on bolt that goes into the hole of the transmission cross member up front, the bolt diameter is too big to fit through any of the 8 holes drilled in the lower part of the slider bracket. Attached is a picture. There are 4 rectangular washers with welded bolts, all the same size. The bolt is about 1/2" in diameter, and the holes are about 3/8" in diameter (I'm sure the actual sizes are metric, but suffice it to say the bolt is larger).

@Mobtown Offroad can you advise if I'm missing something obvious? Is it possible the wrong size welded on bolts were supplied? The simple solution (in my mind anyway) is to drill out one of the holes in the front bracket large enough for the bolt to fit, but wanted to check first before I start enlarging holes in brand new sliders.

Edit: I drilled a 1/2" hole in some scrap sheetmetal and the welded bolt just fits through it.

Edit: I found the written instructions and looking through those and the install video, I'm also missing the 4 beam clamps.

This picture shows the rectangular washer with welded bolt next to one of the other bolts provided in the ziploc bag, which are smaller and do fit through the holes on the slider front bracket.

I just looked at mine and I definitely have the smaller bolt welded to a longer piece of metal. I didn’t measure but there is a bolt that might be bigger toward the middle/rear of the slider that I think has a welded metal washer to it. I just did a quick look though and going by feel since I didn’t want to roll around on the ground haha

Update: I spoke with Joe this morning; they recently changed up the hardware and haven't had a chance to update the instructions. Bottom line is the hardware I have is correct and I'm good to go, but wanted to update this for anyone purchasing a recent set of sliders that comes across the same situation I did.

Trying to revive an old thread. Just picked up a set of new Mobtown Offroad rock sliders and am in the same situation with the new hardware but don't have the updated instructions. Would you be able to share more details?

Where do these washers with the welded bolt go? Also the rectangular washer only has a welded nut without the bolt. How does this work instead of the welded bolt on the original version? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

It's been long enough that my memory is a little hazy, but my recollection is the smaller bolt in the second picture is used with the bracket and goes through one of the 8 holes. I think the hole you use is related to long bed vs short bed, and possible AT vs MT. The bigger bolts with the welded nuts are the beam clamps that are installed at the end of video at the back of the sliders (they are a pain to install on the driver side because of the gas tank). Hope that helps.

Thanks so much for the info!

I do have one more question about this rectangle washer with the weld-on nut. Does this take the place of the rectangle washer with the weld-on bolt that's in the instructions? Do you by chance remember how this is installed? Looks like it goes into the transmission cross member of step 7 and you just screw in one of the smaller bolts. The pictures in the instructions just don't match up perfectly with the hardware included and how it is described.

Just seeing this question, sorry for the late reply. I see mobtown replied; were you able to figure it out? I remember after getting the front bracket installed it all fell into place.

No worries! Yeah I think I’ve got it figured out. Won’t be able to start the install for a couple weeks but just wanted to make sure I could plan accordingly. Thanks for your help!
