I have been looking to get a custom enclosure to put two 10 inch subs and an amp in. It would go behind the back seats but I have been seeing pictures that don't look like mine. In my Tacoma the cargo space behind the seat has a speaker/sub/? (I am not sure what it is). I attached a picture below and I am wondering if this is going to make it difficult for me to install this box for my subs..IMG_1168 2.jpg

So I am not looking to spend the $500ish dollars for the box and everything + labor time? I should be expecting more?

The cheapest and most logical thought that I have at this point is to get that sub out and add the custom enclosure, sub, and amp. The thing that I am worrying about is if the custom enclosure will even fit back there when I remove the sub that is already in the truck. Can you point me in the right direction for the sound processor?

I would peruse the threads I linked to above to determine if this is something you want to tackle. The popular sound processor is the lc6i

I'm not very educated in all of this, but do you think it would be okay to rip it out and drop in a new enclosure, sub, and amp? Or will that interfere with the stock JBL speakers and the HU?

Damn, so I would have to get a new HU? I actually liked the JBL HU, but if it's going to stop me from doing anything it has to go.
