So, I've been doing research on aftermarket headlights, and I've come to the conclusion that high output halogens are the best option for me. So my question is, can I install these headlights right in or do I have to get a wiring harness or something like that? Also, will these bulbs fit the fogs as well? Thanks y'all

If you were to put a voltmeter on your headlights, you would be shocked at how low the voltage is. The aftermarket harnesses use heavy wire and good relays to get full battery power to the headlights. This in itself results in brighter headlights. If you combine this with headlights that are higher wattage than OEM, the results are phenomenal. I bought the Rallylights version and paid too much but they work very well. It has since been discovered that the Headlight Services harness is very good quality and substantially cheaper.

Also worth mentioning is that installing the aftermarket headlight harness is super easy.

Night breakers are a stock wattage high efficiency bulb, they do not require a harness. They do not put out more light than stock, but they use a smaller more precise filament to concentrate the beam pattern into a more intense hot spot for better distance projection. They project light further than stock bulbs.

Just my two cents. When i had my Jeep there was a guy on the forum who was a light guru. He was close friends with dainel stern lighting and he personally tested every halogen bulb side by side and in conclusion the philip extreme bulbs are the best in his comparisons with all the bulbs he tested. Ive been running them for about 4 years now and they are a brighter light that do not have hot spots and shadows. And its always good to aim your headlights properly

Philips Xtreme +130 are excellent bulbs for low beam. The Osram Nightbreakers have a few different versions, the +130 are the competing product to the Philips Xtreme. There are newer bulbs out now, the new Nightbreaker Laser +150 will have a more intense hot spot and outperform the Philips Xtreme, though they will have a shorter bulb life. Philips has a +150 product as well called Philips Racing Vision +150. For comparison the Philips Xtreme have a bulb life of 420hrs I believe, whereas the Racing Vision is 200 hours. Many may not view the 15% gain worth the 50%+ loss in bulb life, which is why I typically recommend the Xtremes over the shorter life bulbs.
