    what are those?
Is it better to purchase gear kits and lockers and bring all parts to someone to do regear or is it better to let shops source the parts?

From what I have found it seems bringing lockers if found at a good deal seems like a better option but not so sure about gears?

Second question I have 8.4 rear diff I can find lockers and gears for rear but what about the front are they all the same? Are lockers different? For reference I have a 2015 trd sport

    It depends.
First you’ll need to find a shop that is willing to take “customer supplied parts” and install them.
Next, you’ll need consider whether or not you’re willing to take responsibility for any parts failure.
That means, if your parts fail. You’re paying someone to do it all over again.

Or, you can let the shop source the parts. They will probably add a bit of a markup.
But they get to replace, fix, or repair any future problems.

I’ll also add, if you choose to supply your own parts.
Be diligently in getting the correct parts, GOOD QUALITY parts, and get them all at once.
There is nothing like having a bay tied up waiting for “parts”.
Nor is there any feeling worse than being supplied “low quality” parts, and then being bladed by the customer for “not doing it right”.

If I owned a shop, I wouldn’t let a customer bring me parts for a full regear.
    Too much liability.

If it were brakes or something like that, sure. I’d throw on customer parts.
    But not big jobs…..not me.

i dont know how I somehow posted this twice, there is another thread... yea I dont buy cheap parts for my truck it will be top of the line gears probably revolution and for sure will have everything ahead of time. I am still thinking to let the shop source the gears and such and ill bring my own arb air lockers for them to install while doing the re-gear.

    good input thanks!

I would look in to the ECGS fully assembled 3rds and clamshells. I don't know that you can find a better deal with a 5 year warranty.
