I know the H1s just "bolt in" plug and play. No real adjustment as far as horizontal levelness (unlike the FX-Rs). But I've read that some people have had level issues...so my question is: is it worth test lighting it and measuring against wall before resealing if you can't really adjust the horizontal levelness anyway? Or can you?

I would test it regardless, it has plates that keep it pretty much straight, just make sure before you reseal it that you have the projectors in straight or else your cutoff line will be like /\ instead of ---------

    Best of luck to ya!

Definitely check them against a wall before sealing them up. There is a small degree of 'play' with the horizontal adjustment with the alignment tabs. The tabs don't fit tight in the back of the headlight housing so you can rotate them slightly. In some cases, people have taken a dremel to shave the tab to allow them to rotate the projector even more in order to make them sit level (hopefully you won't have to do that step, I didn't).

And that can only be done with the lens off correct?
