I don't really post much but I wanted to say thank you to everyone for sharing all this info. The search feature on this site usually answers any and all questions I have but before I pull the trigger on buying some parts I was hoping to get an answer to my specific question from a knowledgeable source.

I have a 2007 DCSB SR5 4X4 and I found 2 UCA's with ball joints, 4 shocks, and 2 coil springs (all OEM parts) off a 2013 Single Cab 4X4 that were removed after 400 miles of use for $500.00. My question is will these parts even fit my truck and if so is that an ok price. My truck rides like $h!+ and I want to replace the suspension but I can't really do a lift right now so I am considering this option instead. I'd be glad to listen to any other suggestions that yall have also.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I'll give you the hard truth, news flash !! 'Yota suspension sucks & unless your current springs/shocks are sacked beyond resembling any kind of suspension, then replacing crap with crap is going to add up to....crap & thats too much $$$ to pay for sub standard setup, even if new, hell I've got 2 sets of 2nd gen UCA's w/ball joints with about same mileage you're talking about.. The only reason to replace with stock is when someone wants to sell their truck & take the good stuff off & put the stock stuff on..

    But , yeah they'll fit

Point well taken. I guess I should just wait til I have the cash and go with one of the aftermarket kits recommended on here. Im not expecting it to ride like a cadillac but the steering wheel shakes so dang bad and if I hit the slightest bump or pot hole the truck jumps all over the place. I got the tires balanced and an alignment done but it didnt help at all. The tire shop guys recommended replacing suspension.

Thanks though, Ive been on the fence about getting aftermarket stuff and your comments helped me make up my mind.

Sounds to me like you need to look under the front of your truck for obvious damage or loose steering components ... Like right now

Shocks and springs are not your problem IMHO

Jack the front of your truck up with a proper floor jack and jack stands and investigate before you wreck your truck if it's that bad

    Thanks for the advice GrayRider,
It is pretty bad. I did that before I took it to get an alignment and I didn't notice anything but I agree there is obviously something wrong. I just csnt figure out what.

I had an old superbettle that would shake violently after railroad tracks

2 tie rod end bearings were egg shaped ... couldn't tell how bad they were until the front end was jacked up
