Question about the paint on my New 2012 Tacoma

Hello - I just recently purchased a new 2012 tacoma and I noticed while cleaning it that just along the bottom of the doors the paint is a different texture than the rest of the truck. Is this normal? The truck is new so my gut feeling is that this is the way its suppose to be but I am so anal about my truck that I just want to be certain.

Yes it is normal. My 2006 is the same way and I flipped out at first to so dont stress about it.

 

Awesome. I am already stressing because as I am driving in the sunlight I can see small spots all in my side windows on all four windows. I took it back last weekend and the dealer told me that it couldn't be the tint they put on if all four windows have it because they only tint the front two. Now they are going to have a toyota specialist come out to look at it. My worry is that I don't want them to have to take off all of the doors to replace the windows. This is so frustrating, I am not sure what it could be. You would think when you buy a new car these kinds of things wouldn't happen....guess not.

 

Are you wearing polarized glasses? I see spots on other cars but not form the inside of mine.
