First off I'm in the camp that finds the chrome-clad limited wheels as awful. I had chrome-clad wheels on a 2011 F-150, XLT I had for a brief period. When they get scratched or damaged you can't just repair them, you have to toss the entire wheel.

Anyway I was browsing an ad on eBay, when I noticed a potentially rare stock wheel, that wouldn't look bad in a set of four.

I had no idea, the limited trucks had a real, and nice spare wheel in place of the ugly chrome wheel. Check this out...

Would love to find four of these "Spare" wheels, but I question if it's possible to get a center cap that works with this wheel, that is not chrome.

Also, if you look closely, there is a tag that reads "Temporary use only" on the wheel near the valve stem. I can't think of any reason why one of these wheels couldn't be used permanently. But if anyone knows any different, I will listen to the reason.

Does anyone here on TW, that may work for a dealer parts dept, know if there is a part number to find possibly three more of these? The eBay ad is for one single wheel, so if someone purchased this, they would have to tack down a bunch of limited owners and try to persuade them to sell their spares (lol).

If I remember correctly from a old post about owners complaining about the chrome clad wheels is that you can pull the plastic chrome cover off the wheel and just have them refinished.

There are a couple of posts out there talking about this after they noticed the bare spare wheel.

You could check at some junkyards. Alot of times, before they completely scrap one, they will pick it over on everything they can. Might have some good luck doing that. Also i believe the tag for temporary use is meant to be for the tires, and possibly where it might not have a tpms sensor in it.
