So my tires wore out on my new Tacoma pretty quick. I had them rotated every 5K with my toyotacare for free at toyota and then every 3K after that. I haven't done an alignment yet or even checked it but the truck is only about a year and a half old with 30K miles on it. Probably should've done it by now, I'll get it done and be better with my new set. My question is wtf is going on with this tire. It's like ripping apart on the outside. Only this bad on this one tire but minimally similar on the others aswell.20190807_155903.jpg 20190807_155859.jpg 20190807_155847.jpg

Wear is pretty even across the tread. Slightly more on outside but that could be from cornering. They put the cheapest thing possible on from factory in most cases. Especially the 2wd versions that just get regular passenger tires. 30k is not bad for a truck with passenger tires.

Thats what I thought, the wear doesn't look too uneven or anything to me but I'm no pro. I'm just curious as to why they're shredding/gettin ripped up on the outer portion.
PS its a 4WD is that matters. These are the toyo open country A30s

No matter how perfect alignment is, top heavy truck will beat up out side edge no matter what.
