I have built the exact Tacoma I want on Toyota.com but when I look at the lots the same truck is always 1500-2k more expensive. Is this just due to the dealer add ons or is there a cost I'm not aware of. Can I get a better deal just building my own and waiting a few months for delivery?

Dealer mark up because they will sell their truck in a few days.
$1500 more is the cost of you not having too do any manual labor adding parts later on.

My sticker matched the price on the website exactly (2017). No dealer or port accessories on mine.

Most dealers mark up based on location and sales. In my area it was about a 2% markup for TRD OR
