I just put the toytec 3'' coil over on my truck and am waiting for the tires to come in before i do the alignment. does anyone have experience running stock ucas with the lift and being able to have a correct alignment? how necessary do you guys think aftermarket UCA's are?

Guess were gonna find out, some people have claimed that they didn't. When I got my lift I ordered uca's because I did not want to find out that I needed them after putting on my lift. Let us know how yours turns out.

    You lifted a full 3" ?

    I would suggest getting UCA's

i would say the front is a little less than a full 3'' because i didn't go with the ULK, which i almost wish i did now.

I'm sitting at 2.5 in the front IIRC with stock UCAs. Got it aligned after the lift. Said they couldnt get it perfect, but its close enough I dont notice any pulling or uneven wear on the tires. I think you can go up to 3 without much of a problem. Past that you need different UCAs

Wait after a few hundred miles and check your tire wear. I got the same response from the place that aligned mine and sure enough I had uneven wear. So I installed the chaos UCA. Took it back to the same place and the guy told me I wasted my $ because all the adjustments could of been done from the lower control arm and the tie rod ends. Now the tire sit flat on the ground but it pulls to the right. ( seems to be a common thing). They did not rotate the tire though so I will try that tomorrow and see if it still pulls

I don't claim to be an expert, but I listened to the experience here on TW to make my UCA decision. I put the 3" Toytec Ultimate lift on my truck last month with 285/75/16's. No rubbing, no alignment issues, and it rides nearly as well as stock!
