I had the 1989 V6 truck and a 95 4Runner with the 3.0 and I never had any power issues. No they're not as strong as the 3.4 and not even close to the 4.0 I have in my 03 4Runner but still a good engine. I pulled a 24' pontoon boat home one day from 200 miles away with my 95 4Runner and yes it was a strain but it did fine. Not to mention the truck is lighter and will do better than the 4Runner. If I have a chance to buy this truck for $10,000 or close, I'm going to take it. I sold my 2003 double cab 4x4 this year for $10,800 and it had 236,000 miles on it. It sold in 2 days after I put it on craigslist so this 94 with 67,000 miles has to be worth $10,000, or at least it's worth that to me. Just like the 4Runner, this has always been one of my favorite body styles of Toyota.

I went back over to my client's house the other day to get a contract signed on his house and he told me he was going to sell the truck to me if we could come to an agreement on the price. I honestly think he's thinking $5000 - $6000. I also messed up on the year, it's a 1991 model. I snapped a few pics but couldn't get good shots because it was in the garage and the place was packed.

    truth here..

i owned one of these trucks about 8 years ago and the 3.0 is a reliable motor, but it is pretty slow and a gas hog compared to the 3.4.. i would rather have a 22re any day if i had the choice.

but that is a super nice truck, i wouldn't pay more than 7k for it.. if they are looking for top dollar and u dont need a new truck you should pass.. at 5k-6k that is a steal though
