question about weld on sliders

    Hi there- I just had my truck undercoated by toyota for the frame warranty. With that undercoating that they use, can sliders still be welded on.

    tail gate lock, rear view mirror bracket, hood hinge brackets, and the list grows.
    yep just clean off the surface

    Yes, you can still weld to the frame, the welder will just clean the frame areas where he needs to weld. I would say though, if you live in an area where they salt the hell out of the roads, you might want to consider bolt ons so you can take them off and recoat them every year or so. Much easier to paint them off the truck than on.
