    Hey

Lastnight i removed the bed storage that came with my truck. There are a couple threaded holes that i assume will take a tie down/D ring. what is the part number for those? pic to help explain[IMG]

On non-Trail Edition Tacos, there is a hoop there, like you can see in my pic. SBs, it is where you are showing. LBs have it in front of the wheel well.

The only thing you want to be sure about is that there is a metal backing plate for some strength. I would guess that it is there, but it would be good to check.

Oh! If it was used for attaching the storage boxes, then the backing plate should be there.

I am sorry, but my account is broken at toyota.com. So, parts lookups are not working for me.

That loop is definitely handy for light loads. If you're tying something down, like a motorcycle, D rings on the bed bolts are the better way to go.

That tie down is crawling away. If you use that one, after a couple of weeks, it makes a chrysalis and turns into a butterfly

So $25 for the OEM Part or $50 for the pair?

I’ll sell my pair for $25 shipped if you want. I’d have a hard time paying $50 for them.

I'm good but I think if you click around you could come with something more robust then those stock hooks. I'm sure the threaded holes are stout enough for a high load stress. You got me curious so I just called our local dealer. They are $25. a piece:notsure:!!! You could MacGyver something dope for that much doe.

I wouldn't use them for a high load. If you're going to be tying down something heavy add rings of your choice to the bed bolts in the front. Save those for lighter stuff.

Edit: You can see the added rings in tonereds pic.

That is a good idea as the more tie downs the better, but what @RX1cobra was getting at is the ones in my pic are on the bed bolts that attach to the truck frame. The best connection that we got for tiedowns.

My concern here is similar to your missing loops. The composite bed is strong, but limited.

Also if interested, you can grab a 2nd Gen front accessory rail. It installs right under the front rail:

Good luck on finding a better price for those hoops. I'd want to have those also and do use mine for lightweight stuff like strapping in my storage box.
