A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
I am about to swap out my Standard SR5 entune radio with a Premium Entune, and I will be buying a new part the head unit slips into.
The ? I have is -- what is the color I have in my SR5 now. Is It Silver or "gun metal" ? This is the color of the piece that on the "outside of the mounting trim (like where the Orange if you have that, is). if some one could show the difference between the silver and the gun metal color , that would be appreciated. The 2 part numbers are:55405-4130-C6 (gun metal) and 55405-4130-C5 (silver).
unfortunately Toyota's parts descriptions are not in color.

I don’t have the greatest pics for this but hopfully they’ll help.

The silver is light grey metallic while the gun metal is dark grey metallic.

    From my 16 SR5 (silver)

Thanks a lot for the great help Pickupman2007

Do they (Toyota) even put the gunmetal color in the SR5's? If not, (what I expect) then my 17 Sr5 color is the silver?

That is some more good info, although I think they are mostly talking about the fabric color? --looks like the SR5 v6 only has the silver trim piece . Reason this is impt., is that many Toyota parts people are clueless about the differences in the plastic trim pieces. When I order the part I want to get it right the first time. All the help I can get here is great!

That's sure stands out -- but watch out when you have ketchup on your fingers!
So, would have called what color -you had before "gun-metal"?

If my plan goes as I hope it will --I will have some dash pieces for sale when this task is finished

Now all you need is white leather seats, shift and handbrake boots, as well as Door cards to complete the look

This is exactly what I was thinking of doing. Did you buy the trim pieces, paint, or wrap?

How tough was it to pop those pieces out? Is there a how-to anywhere to help?
