    I've noticed that even if I'm subscribed to a thread, if I don't check the notifications I get for it then I will soon stop getting notifications for that thread. As soon as I check back into that thread, the notifications start up again.

    It's like an automated way of subb'ing/unsubb'ing based on your level of activity within the thread I guess.

    I only monitor a couple threads, and reported posts. That gets me no less than 10-20 emails a day.

    To answer your question John, you have to select watched threads and a option.
