Question for all with Light Racing UCAs

If you installed the arms yourself, how much of a pain in the ass were the snap rings?

They seem way too difficult...

 

With a snap ring plier or needle nose will do. Start from one end and push it in until you reach the other end. Its not that difficult.

 

What snap rings?? I installed 2 sets and it's pretty easy if you buy new long bolts from Wheelers and cut the heads off the old ones.

 

The snap ring goes underneath the ball joints. On my 2000 that is

 

Ah ok...I installed them on a '14 and a '15.

 

With how stiff the ring is I'm afraid I'll bend or break it trying to stretch it around the bottom of the insert! Did you pull it back on itself like a clam opens or across itself like a spring? I'm guessing more like a spring, but it still doesn't come close to making it around the insert when I try.

 

Finally got it, damn. Used vice grips and pliers for ages before it went in.
