I run an aluminum dog box for bird hunting in my Tacoma. Originally I had it bolted in. That was a PIA to remove, so I fabbed up some "L" brackets to hold the box in place and used those rubber tensioners that were used on Jeep hoods as fasteners. I put one on either side of the metal bedrail that runs under the rear window (two total), and two in the bottom of the bed that attach to brackets secured to the bottom bed bolts. Holds the dog box in nice n tight in off-roading situations, but in a really extreme event like a high speed roll over... probably not...

You could probably get the really fancy all metal ones if you wanted...

If you fab something, the track rails are a good place to start anchoring for easy in/out.
