I just installed one tonight. After I installed the cross bar to the right side rail (which I had already mounted to the truck) I noticed that the long bolt which connects the cross bar to the rail (which the cross bar pivots on) was sort of loose... like a loose tooth. This, despite the fact that it was torqued to spec. I am not sure if the joint is supposed to be a little loose or not, but the other rail's cross bar (which was pre-assembled when I got it) isn't like that. When the cross bar is deployed, you can even feel a little bit of looseness in it if you wiggle it with your hand. If you put your finger on top of that bolt, you can actually wiggle the head of it a bit too.

Bottom line is, I am hoping this is not uncommon and there is not some kind of issue with the square nut underneath the rail not being seated properly or something. I know it is threaded into the nut though and I was able to torque it to spec like I said.

    Thanks for any info!
