Did you order the cross bin and if so, did you go with the 8 inch or the 13 inch? And why?

I ordered the 8 Inch but I’m wondering if the 13 inch wouldn’t be more practical.

I had the 8” crossbin. If I remember right, the 13” is too deep to fit above the wheel wells (DCSB)

8" gave me plenty of room to site tools etc.

I have the 8" cross bin in the forward bay. It provides plenty of storage for the smaller things I want ready access to without excessively blocking access to the area below.

When I had a 2014 Tundra I had a cross bin since there weren’t really any good storage compartment in the truck for straps and other supplies. Personally, I prefer the Tacoma without a crossbin. There are plenty of storage areas to keep supplies and there is less volume in the bed, so the crossbin just eats up too much space.

Now if you have a specific stuff you need to routinely carry and it fits nicely in the crossbin, then that would be a different story.
