I knew a guy who worked at Raytheon and was asking the hiring department why they chose a person with a "B/C" average over 4.0 students. He said, chances are the person who has a B or a C average will be very greatful he/she got the job. Those people can be very trainable. In contrast, many 4.0 students feel too entitled or that certain work is beneath them.

If i were an employer i wouldn't want to hire people who just wanted a job. I'd rather hire those who want a job and actually want to be there doing the work.

As has been said before, it all depends on the job. We don't even interview anyone with less than a 3.5.

I had a week of my business class dedicated to resumes from a marketing professional from Hershey, he said only put the GPA accomplishments on there, deans list, etc. only put GPA if it is a 4.0 otherwise he said nobody cares.

    Anyway

    Senior 3.43 GPA
