What do you all use for car wash and wax products to keep your tacos looking showroom nice?

I have read about waxes out there for red painted cars ect but not so sure about that.
The stuff I used to use is no longer made and this will be my first red or lighter colored truck.
Always had black or the mgm.

    Thanks everyone

I use Meguiar's Gold Class soap, and have never once considered the color of the vehicle as relevant to the soap choice. Then again, I was raised with single stage paints that weren't water-based either. Regardless, it's worked fine on my Barcelona Red thus far. For waxes, sadly I stopped waxing my own vehicles. The detailer up the street only charges $100 for a hand wash, clay bar and hand wax combo. So I do that once or twice a year and leave the product choice up to them.

You could always try asking here, too:

Barcelona Red was used on more than just 3rd gen Tacomas...I believe it started in '09 for the 2nd gen Taco. Probably better to get their input on how well it's held up, and if they use any boutique soaps/waxes.

Color doesn't much matter. If you had a show car, then yeah you can chose different waxes or sealants to provide the best luck. But nobody does this with a Tacoma because Tacomas aren't show cars. You want something that looks good and is durable. I've tried a lot of things and most all of the waxes are not durable. Most of the sealants are somewhat durable. The standouts are Collinite and Klasse/Carlack. These are more durable than average. They're good products. The more recent ceramic and graphene coatings are far more durable than any wax or sealant. I like Adams graphene. I use the Advanced Spray variety because it cures in 4-6 hours and I don't have a garage to park my truck in overnight. If I did, I'd use the liquid version. Whatever you use on top, it will look better if you clay and polish it first.

I use Meguiar's ultimate car wash and wax. Great stuff, it doesn't turn your black trim white if you happen to overlap a bit.

Whatever brand car soap I happen to have at the time, After washing I use Lucas oil speed wax while the car is still wet, acts as a drying aide and adds great shine. I do this every wash, about every 2 weeks.
