I picked up an ov tune kit from a member and reached out to Matt who got me started. For the record Matt is great to work with!!

I have the older version of the tune which is the dongle kit. I found these directions, https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0...ctions_-_Discontinued.pdf?6572417600888913780 online.

My question is, in step one is states "Select the proper flash template (p5 for ecu, p5 gearbox for TCU if needed)" which one did you select? what are the differences between those 3 options?

    Thanks in advance!!!

It won't really matter. If one doesn't work, select another. I think I read that Mat thought one might flash faster than another, but I can't find his post.

I should add that I have a manual. If I had an automatic, I'd select the P5 Gearbox, since it appears to also update the TCU.

There first 2 options will flash the ecu. There’s been a few instances where one works but not the other on some trucks - either will get the job done. The gearbox option is for the TCU flash (which there isn’t one currently)

The software is smart enough to not let you do something that will harm things. Worst case it fails and you try something else.
