Right now I have the Icon 3 leaf AAL with the stock overload leaf removed.

Before doing the leaf spring recall, did you:

    1. Remove your AALs and reinstall the overload leaf before you went in for the recall?

    2. Left your AALs in but did the recall? If you did this did your dealer give your trouble? Did they reinstall your AALs for you?

I haven't done it in that order myself, but as far as I've read about others, I don't think the dealer will give you a hard time about having an AAL, but also won't re-install it into the new leaf pack.

I got an AAL after I got my recall leafs.

Unlike some of the previous TSB leafs, you will gain 0" of height over the stock setup, without an AAL.

I did not take my AAL out and I pleaded with them to take it out and put it in the new pack but they refused:(. They left my old leafs in the bed of the truck and I had to disassemble to get the AAL back out and then put them in the new pack. It wasn’t that big of a deal and they didn’t hastle me about it, just would’ve been easier if they could’ve knocked it all out while they were under it:notsure:

They removed my AAL with the frame replacement, but I had heard here they wouldnt re-install in the new pack. I had to explain to the service writer what an AAL was, so I just asked for them to be put back in the truck and put them on when I got the truck back.

Add-A-Leaf. It's an extra leaf added to the pack.

seems like some of the add a leaf and overload springs don't match very well with the new pack.

IMO an AAL is needed AFAIK whenever you lift the front. However, IDK if you'll need UCAs. OTOH, you may not. Either way, I'm ROFL, AKA LOL-ing IIRC.

I had an AAL prior to doing the leaf spring recall. My Toyota dealership charged me $164 for a new icon U bolt kit, center pin, and labor to add the leaf
