Hey guys I put a deposit on a 2022 6mt trd off road and wanted to find out on pricing.

    base price 35825
    Tech package 800
All weather floor liners and door sill protectors 248
    Spare tire lock 75
    Delivery processing/ handling 1215

    total 38163

total otd 41616 including tax license no other markup

can I do better for a 6mt red color black interior

I don’t want the floor liners sill protector and spare tire lock but no choice dealer it’s in transit and it will be build like that.

I have a deposit already but can cancel

    what do you guys suggest????

You’re paying MSRP plus tax and tags? If so that’s a decent deal today. Most dealers are charging MSRP + 2-5k

Totally agree. If you can buy at MSRP price, it is a deal these days.

Pretty sure those options you're complaining about are part of a package. You can always sell the floor mats. You can't really sell the other options.

Yeah no markup, spare tire lock is useless IMO

I wanted to go with weather-tech instead of Oem all weather

door sill protector I don’t care about

Only reason I went for the truck is because of 6mt and the rumors that 2023 will be a 4 cylinder turbo maybe

I sold my 2020 trd off-road last year to upgrade to a 6mt

    Look and see.....
I'm gonna assume cloth interior so not the premium package?
My dealership is charging me 43,157 for a '22 TRD ORP 6mt plus some extras which is an exact clone of what I can build on Toyotas website. Sounds like you are getting MSRP for your order so I say do it. Unless you are willing to wait for a build exactly how you want.

If it's a truck you like other than the few extras tacked on there then I'd so for sure do it.
Seems like every Tacoma or most and brand I've ever looked at is going to have those few extra add on in there. Like others mentioned MSRP Seems more common these days, and it's been that way with Toyota's for long as I can remember.
It's not like several other big name manufacturers that have a MSRP of 70k but you can buy it for 10k less than that:crazy:
I purchased my 2017 $1,200.00 below MSRP but that was then, this is now:rolleyes:

Yeah no premium package. Basic cloth seats. But I was not going to pick premium package anyways. Only thing I wanted was a TRD pro shift knob instead of the stock shift knob… not sure why dealers pick stupid options like spare tire lock, and door sill protectors

I have rust in my door sills. I just got some door sill protectors. You may find you like them. But, again, I'm pretty sure most of these options are automatically included in a package. Toyota, unlike other manufacturers, don't do special orders.

Get the LED headlights if you can. The door sill protectors are actually pretty good and protect the paint right where people like to drag muddy boots over and grind it off. The weather mats are pretty decent as well and I haven’t found a reason to upgrade from them yet.

Since its in transit and is being built I cannot add any more options or remove them. Do you guys anticipate 2024 model to have a 6mt?

I keep hoping for the manual transmission to live on forever.....If 2023 definitely becomes the last year for a stick shift Tacoma then I will be buying one.

I hope it doesn't get discontinued but the odds are probably leaning that way.

I pulled the trigger on a nearly identical truck the other day, pkg on my order (TRD OR MT) was slightly diff and it was priced at 40,601. Paying MSRP is a good deal these days if you find it—just look at used trucks to see. That’s why I ended up going new. Dealer did hit me up for a bunch of shit I don’t want - fabric guards and remote theft monitoring and a bunch of garbage like that. I got them way off their number but that’s how they’ll push past the MSRP aggressively. At the end of the day, I wanted the damn truck, it’s been a long time since I’ve had a new vehicle. Hope you’re happy with what you decide to do!

Tangential, but Dealer is only going to give me $1k as a trade-in on my 99 4Runner (I will turn 300k this week or next) and it will now be a project truck I keep at my dad’s for me, him, and my son to wrench on. I’ve done nearly every bit of maintenance on that thing since it was born and I was pretty sad about the thought of saying goodbye.

not many aftermarket floor mat options for the manual.
I bought my 2021 DCSB TRD OR 6mt for $34,500 otd 5/31/21. SC, sales tax included ($500).
the port options can be deleted but many dealers won't do it.
I was able to get mine w/o any port (it was slated to get several) or dealer adds. It came out to about 9% off msrp.
