Hi. I just ordered a 2011 DC LB TDR Sport Package. I needed a white truck with a 6ft bed for work. My question or problem is this......
Upon doing more research it seems that the short bed double cabs come with more options, like lockers, and hill assist. I'm kinda pissed now cause I told the salesman that I wanted a 6ft. bed fully loaded. Probably should have done more research but again i need the 6 ft. bed.
MY QUESTION IS.....Is the 6ft bed double cab tacoma a capable truck on the beach sand? Here in New Jersey we have soft sand and there is a place where you can trailer your jetskis and launch off the beach. My jeep commander had little to know problems achieving this. Should I expect the same result with the Tacoma Double Cab 6 ft bed without the offroad package? Will not having rear lockers affect the performance on sand? I will not be hill climbing or going on any rough excursions. Just trailering my jetskis on beach sand. I swear I will have a heart attack if this new toyota gets stuck when the 4.7 AWD commander never did
    Thank You for any input....

ok, so i should be good then. Can some1 tell me what the benefit for a rear locker is and where it would be used. Since I dont have it on my long bed, this shouldnt give me any problems in sand correct?
