I just bought a 2006, which came with two keys. One works the door lock and ignition just fine. The other only works the ignition. Not the door. Is this normal, or is there a chip in the key that has gone bad?

Sounds like the key may be worn, there is no chip to open the door aside from using the remote.

Common for keys and ignition lock cylinders to wear at the same rate where they will still function together (until they won't) but the key may be too worn to operate the door lock cylinder which doesn't really wear much.
