toyota spends millions on r&d to make their cars as efficient as they are. i am not saying that it is impossible but it would take a lot of work to achieve better than stock results. lift and bigger tires does not help

'12 4x4 Short Bed TRD Off Road
TRD Supercharger, Toytec 3" Ultimate Lift w/ 285/75/16s and planning on OBA for sometime in the future. Also thinking about the HWMS and a Warn 8000 for it.
Last night I cruised from SF to Oakdale (on the way to Yosemite) and got 19.2 mpg over the course of 107.5 miles. Drove around 50mph mostly due to heavy-ish traffic. also drove like a grandma with no mashing of the gas pedal.
That's by far the best mileage I've achieved with this truck.

Getting back to Rich, I have been meaning to redo alignment regardless, the last clowns that did it made my steering wheel off by a few degrees, which drives me nuts. I'd like to see what kind of effect that has.

Haha I think i'll stick with my tacoma instead of a Prius. It's not that big of a deal, I just would like to save money wherever I can get it.
