Hey Guys, please let me know if you think this is a good deal or not. So far I have got them down to 24000+ taxes etc. It would be roughly 26k with taxes and fees. I am going to try and get them down to 25k OTD, which I think is a good deal. Wondering if anyone has any insight into this. Any info would be helpful, how much you paid, past experience buying used. This is the first vehicle I have purchased on my own so it is all new to me. THanks!

I think you should be able to get it at 23,000ish before taxes. Find some deals on the Internet no matter how far away they are and show the salesman. Tell them you are willing to waste a day driving to save a grand. They should work with you. I just got a 2006 Double cab 4X4 sport pkg, With 44,000 miles for 16250 before taxes. It even had stainless steel step bars, tonneau cover, tow pkg, and remote start. The guy was leasing it and really had an itch for a convertible mustang so he wanted out of his lease so he sold it to me for his lease buyout. The dealership took care of all the paperwork for us. If you can find someone leasing one that would sell it to you at the end of their lease that would be your best bet but it’s hard to find. Good luck man.

sorry... this is used.. ignore my post... see my personal response...

essentially look at book (kbb.com) (wholesale v retail) - see what they're going for... get close to wholesale as you're comfortable with. too many variables - generally used cars are marked up 2-4K over what they paid - but that can vary quite a bit.

Yeah, that seems like a great deal - was it a private seller or a dealer?
    Thanks!

Seems high. I think alot of people go by miles when looking/pricing a Toyota but I would buy a used one with high miles and well cared for alot cheaper than vise versa. High miles on a Tacoma doesn't scare me. besides, those tailgate dings on that truck already annoy me !
