This is for those of you who receive instant email notifications on thread updates (this can be changed here btw):

If we got rid of the option for instant emails notifications (when your subscribed threads update), and changed them to once a day email summarizing all of your updated sub'd threads instead, how many of you would mind? This wouldn't affect instant pm email notifications, just thread update notifications.

I say keep it. What I do is when I get sick of getting the updates, I just unsubscribe from the thread cause I know I can always find it later.;)

    Ok I use them

The reason i do is if I'm trying to help someone with a problem that can be beneficial to everyone ( so it can be seen) i can get a quick reply to them.
Changing that feature would make me needing to scan or stay on that thread. I'm multitasking, and my email checks every 2 min. I can be doing other things and my mail is waiting. An instant e-mail gives me the signal that the thread has had a reply and could be information i need to help further.

To change that would make flowing info being necessary to go to PM.
If people don't want the instant it's the in the e-mail option.

But that's me. I think it's great important feature of this site.

I usually have 12 to 14 threads on instant. Looking for info or updates.

I say keep it. but can I get text messages instead of emails? Just kidding

I don't prefer to get emails but others do. It's a good feature to have.

Can you change it so it's not a default to receive those emails when you're a new member? If members want those emails they can go to their preferences and change it.

Thanks for the sit Bob and everything you guys do!!
