Don't think you can run a turbo on an 09+ taco yet, or is there an ecu option now for them? I don't follow the boost trend.

Toon714 has been running a turbo kit on his '09 for near three years.

Started off by using the TRD S/C reflash and injectors, then installed the ProEFI Pro48 after about a year. It had to be wired in of course, but works like a champ. Running my old 1000cc Injector Dynamics injectors. Garrett GT35R with a TiAL stainless steel housing.

Latest tune made 460 whp and 571 wtq @ 10 psi. :D (stock block)

So yes, it can be done. The ecu options are wire in options.*****

Alot of people already commented here, I say that to each his own people should do whatever they want with there money and trucks don't worry about what other people think. For the average person they like to tow so id say supercharger and a URD or TRD would be fine. If you want performance maybe go the turbo route. We have some good threads which have already been built for your viewing pleasure with alot of posts... pages upon pages... will you read these I doubt it but here they are:

Tor hit it on the head..

I recently was blessed with boost.. but.. as much as it is a blessing.. its a curse.

Ive already upgraded things i didnt think i would or want to.. and the list keeps getting larger..

but.. when your in the moment, it all is worth it..

your either all in, or nothin. cuz it will grab ahold of you and youll be addicted. I am..

Its an Eaton M90 Roots "Blower".....
U can always take an injector hat off of a powerwheels car and attach it to the hood for looks

As for keeping temps down, there's an additional radiator "heat exchanger" in the kit and the blower assembly has an integrated intercooler iirc.

Reminds me of the Road Kill episode where they installed a blower onto an LS1 swapped Jaguar. As bad ass the idea, it was still a turd. Lol. Poor engine had seen better days. That made for a Frankenstein'd grocery getter.

What about twin charging? If you have the money, you get the benefits of both right?
