Mine doesn’t have SR5 badges, just the V6 badge.

Run your Vin on Toyotas website.
    I know mine said SR5
And that the O/R was “separate package”

IIRC, you had to have the SR5 to get O/R

I bet they deleted the SR5 badge to save money? lol

It probably varies between model years, I know 100% mine is a TRD OffRoad since I got it new.
The big thing to look for to make sure your buying an actual TRD OffRoad is make sure it has the rear diff lock as all TRD OffRoads came with it, if it doesn't have a locker it is not a TRD OffRoad.

OP don’t feel too bad. 95% of people (me included) do not need the locker.

The guys that needed the locker, usually put themselves in the position to “need” it.

Drive the truck, enjoy it. Build it how you want it.

For most people I don't think it's about the locker it's the fact that they are paying a premium for a TRD and not getting at TRD.

They stopped putting the SR5 badge on the 12-15 TRD OR Tacomas, but they are still considered the base model with an upgrade package. Mine only has the V6 badge, but it is for sure an Off Road.

Yeah, I understand that for sure.
Typically the truck you buy is the one stated on the paperwork. And in most cases it’s only written as Make, Model and VIN. Unless the paperwork says TRD O/R, OP is probably going to have more money in legal fees that the O/R package is work.

I guess you could look at it one way, OP has the stronger rear ended. The O/R doesn’t have the girdle.

I’m just trying to help OP feel better about his purchase. Because I believe he’s “got what he’s got”. Might as well make the best of it.
