Hi everyone, I'm new here and I recently got myself a 2009 Doublecab, but it came without the bed rail things. I'm wondering if they're useful enough to make it worth buying, or if I should just get a few extra D-hooks like the ones in the bed and just put those in the holes for the rails (if they even fit).
Any help or advice is appreciated =)
    Thanks in advance!

Make sure you double check the storage compartments in the bed & behind the seat. I use the bed rails all the time, but d-rings in the front bed bolts would be just about the same.

I've checked everywhere I can think of, but the actual rails themselves aren't on the truck. I don't know why someone would take them off, but the plastic part on top the the bed walls doesn't have anything screwed into it.

I don't know what it would cost to replace them, but I use my rails all the time. It's nice to be able to throw something in the back then a quick bungie to the rail cleats and no rolling around in the bed. You might try junkyards in your area before going to a dealer for them.

The rails are present on the back of the cab, but the sides don't have them.

Ok thanks for the advice everyone =) I'll be junkyards in my area to see if I can pull some off a truck there, otherwise I'll check online for something to see if I can get one there. Thanks!

Get some 1" L channel, mount it where the missing bed rails went. Drill holes to attach anything you want.

If you bought your truck from a dealership, you can always ask your salesperson if they'll find out who traded your truck in. They can contact that person and ask them if they still have the rails and are willing to give them up. That way they're not giving out any of the previous owner's information to you and you might just be able to get the rails for free. Never hurts to ask.

Ome 887s, dakars, lr uca, sliders, konig countersteer,
the rails themselves are $90 for the sides.. end pieces are $40 for all.. and the cleats for $50 .. prices are from dealership.. I didn't have them either.. its from where someone used to have a cover on the truck and were required to take them off.. I have mine now and I would say they are definitely worth it!

I hardly use the rails since I don't haul much and anything I do carry in the bed is never at rail height, so I tend to use the d-ring tie downs more than anything. I also bought the Toyota cargo net which is nice, but does clip around the rail cleats in 4 places.

I bet some asshole with the "take all addons off before I trade it" mentality sold/traded it in. Some guy came on here a while back posting to ask what he should strip off just to have laying around in case he "needed" the parts. Seemed more like a jackass/clepto to me since he was going to basically gut the truck.

I use mine weekly!! I’d would try and fond some side ones at a wrecking yard. and then i would get some front tie downs from bay area metal fab! i just got some about a week ago and love them! best $71 i have spent on the truck(that was with shipping)
