    A bunch..and no build thread!
Just wanted to see if anyone knew of a good place to stay in the area around Flagpole Knob. Wife and I are going on a wheeling/camping trip with a buddy from VA and we will be getting into the area pretty late on a Friday night. I'm looking for a hotel, that has a safe parking area not too far from the trails, to crash at the night we get into town. If anyone knows of a place that fits the bill, I'd appreciate the info. I can look on Google all day, but can't find much about parking.

most people that go to flagpole, camp at flagpole.

There is a campground towards the bottom, before the trail. I forgot the name of it. Harrisonburg is pretty safe IMO, but I dont live there, so I dont know hotels that are safer. Can you look up a hotel, then do google maps street view to see if the parking lot is decent?

We will be getting in late Friday night, my buddy is a Sheriff in VA and can't meet until Saturday morning. I am not familiar with the area and would get there too late to set up camp, especially since I have no idea what the area is like and I will be dead on my feet after working all day and driving 7n hours down.

Either way, we'll just grab a hotel local to the meet up spot and keep an eye on the truck until morning. I appreciate the help!

I recommend one of the motels on US Rt. 11 south in Harrisonburg. Will be the closest and less traffic.
